Policies and FAQ
We look forward to welcoming you at the Chanticleer Cabins. Click the items below for more information about staying with us. If you have additional questions, contact us anytime.
What is check in/check out time?
Our check-in time is from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. If you are arriving after 8:00 p.m., please call us and we would be happy to arrange for a late check-in.
Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. on your departure date.
Do you have minimum stay requirements?
At the Chanticleer Cabins, we ask a minimum, two-night reservation on weekends. To fulfill this requirement, reservations can be made for a Friday and Saturday night, or a Saturday and Sunday night.
We currently have a two night minimum stay requirement for New Years Eve and the Independance Day holiday. Three night minimum reservations are required for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
Occasionally, single nights on weekends do become available. Please contact us to see if a single Friday or Saturday night is available.
Do you require a deposit?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm reservations. Deposits must be paid by credit or debit card at the time a reservation is made. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
Do you charge tax?
Room rates do not include Wisconsin sales and Door County room tax. The current tax rate for our township is 13.5%.
What is your refund policy?
A refund will be issued on cancellations received 21 days prior to your arrival date, minus a $75.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made between 4 and 21 days of your arrival date will forfeit the one night deposit; unless the entire reservation can be re-rented (the $75.00 cancellation fee will still be applied). Guests are responsible for their entire reservation when cancellations are made within 3 days of your arrival date. Guests are responsible for all nights reserved and refunds will not be issued for unused nights due to late arrival or early departure.
Do you accept gift certificates?
If you have a Chanticleer Cabins gift certificate, or a gift certificate from either the Door County Visitor’s Bureau, or the Sturgeon Bay Visitor’s Bureau, please include that information in the special requirements box. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT BEDANDBREAKFAST.COM GIFT CERTIFICATES, OR BBONLINE.COM GIFT CERTIFICATES.
Do you allow children?
We realize many couples enjoy taking their children to Door County. However, we try to provide a quiet and romantic atmosphere for all of our guests. Because of this, we maintain an adults-only policy at the Chanticleer Cabins. Please contact us if you have any questions concerning our adults-only policy.
Do you allow smoking?
All of cabins are strictly non-smoking accommodations. We do provide ash trays for our guests who do smoke and smoking is allowed on all of our balconies and on the grounds.
